Alfred Hitchcock's-North By Northwest

North by Northwest is a film made by Alfred Hitchcock, it stars Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint and James Mason. This film is a great example of a thriller.
"Thriller's are characterized by fast pacing frequent action" watching North by Northwest i could tell that this was a brilliant example of a thriller. It contained many fast pacing action clips, an example of this is at the beginning of the film when the hero, Carie Grant was drunk and being driven into the sea.
In this thriller we also see devices such as suspence, red-hearing and cliffhangers being used. An example of red-hearing being used is when Eva Marie Saint is exposed to us, at the beginning as a normal typical lady. As the film then goes on we are made to believe that she is working in a team with the villians, but as the film is coming to an end we find out that she is really working with the foreign spies as a hero and not a villian.
