Psycho-Shower Scene

As we were focusing on editing, we got to see the great shower clip of psycho. I had noticed that the director was using fast paced shots to make the scene more scarier and gruesome. We saw the lady, the knife, the man walking in, the water and blood dripping, the lady fall to the ground and blood around her. But at no point do we see her getting stabbed by the man, the directed used fast paced scenes so that the audience can assume what is happening with the sound affects as well as the object. This leads the audience to believe that the lady was stabbed to death.
