I have previewed a few opening of thrillers, i started off firstly with watching the film ' A history of violence"

This film uses many good features to make the film a brilliant thriller movie. We are firstly experiencing a slow movie, which gets us viewers thinking what the film is about, after several minutes sudden music starts playing, which makes the viewers assume that something scary will happen. at the end of the opening clip we see the man shoot a girl which leaves us in a cliff hanger.
The second film i had previewed was called 'No country for old men'

 this filmed started off with a man who's face was not shown to the viewers, this made us want to carry on watching the movie, as we wanted to see the actor. The actor was then revealed when killing his first suspect. This was a good thriller as it kept the viewers in suspect then led us being scared and understanding the villain.
