shock is when someone doesn't know that something will occur and shock is the point at which they realise it happens. An example of this is., imagine like before in suspense that there is a classroom however this time instead of the audience knowing that the bomb is under the table, they find out there was a bomb after an explosion. this creates a shock.
'children of men' is a great example of shock in a film.
