throughout the film brick we see many thriller conventions, such as; flashbacks and a murder.
there are also many camera techniques used, such as; high angled shots, it aslo contains a shot reverse shot. there are also editing techniques used where there is a graphic match, also the editing allows the audience to view the film comfortable as it is not as confusing as other thriller films.

the sounds used in this film creates a great atmosphere letting the audience get into the thriller vibe. there is a sad atmosphere as the phonecall comes in, and is used in a great way as it creates suspense making the audience think about what will happen next.
